The ILS Lifesaving World Championships are conducted every 2 years, showcasing excellence in surf sports and rescue; attracting the most talented and skilled surf sports and rescue people to compete for the title of World’s best. It is an opportunity to profile the Lifesaving Movement, the important role they play as an emergency service and highlight their contribution to community.
The competition program is delivered over 16 days with an official opening and closing ceremony to welcome and farewell competitors and visitors.
A full social program will support the competition program, and ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience is had by visitors, competitors and community.
The program will showcase Adelaide and surrounding areas, offering tours, activities and events in the City of Holdfast Bay, City of Adelaide, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale.
